Looking for an E-Reader?
As Christmas approaches, many of you may be considering purchasing an E-Reader as a gift. But with so many out there to choose from (such as the Kindle, Nook and Sony) which one do you choose? Something that might help in that decision is the fact that you can download free e-books from the KHCPL website. The library subscribes to the Overdrive database which allows you to download e-books (as well as audiobooks and videos). All you need is a valid KHCPL library card to access the site. You can find the site under the Digital Books & Media Center link on our Catalog page on the library's website. To find out which e-readers are compatible with Overdrive you can go to the Compatible ebook devices link on Overdrive. Visiting that link might help determine which e-reader you choose for that special someone.
Travel back to Narnia
Today is the opening day for the latest in The Chronicles of Narnia movies: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. We also have the complete set of the books in both print and on audio. It will be a journey that will be enjoyed by young and old alike.
